Credit cards get personal over security

NEWS Credit card companies Mastercard and Visa are asking online and phone customers to provide more personal information, in moves to boost consumer confidence. From next April all worldwide users of Mastercard and UK Visa users will have to give the three-digit identifier printed on the signature strip on the back of cards, along with their address details. Last year Mastercard recorded an increase in global card fraud of one third and Visa recorded an interest of 28 per cent on the year before. Much of this has been attributed to internet credit card fraud.
