Iceland updates 'TV dinners' with home shopping channel

NEWS Food retailer Iceland is set to launch a home shopping digital TV service which will enable shoppers to see and talk live to a personal shopping assistant. Iceland already runs an internet shopping service but the Iceland iSee TV service will allow shoppers to read out a shopping list for their onscreen assistant to assemble. Iceland's service, due for launch by the end of this year, is the first to use Media Logic's iSeeTV technology. Travel agent First Choice has also announced a forthcoming digital TV project using the iSeeTV technology.
