NEWS The developer of scalable internet infrastructure software is making the move to reinforce its position in the growing web broadcast market, which is set to be worth $40bn by 2003, according to research house Aberdeen Group. Products from FastForward Networks allow network service providers to deliver broadcast services while using existing infrastructures.
Inktomi purchases FastForward Networks for $1.3bn
Inktomi has agreed to pay $1.3bn to acquire FastForward Networks, provider of management software for web broadcasting.
