NEWS According to reports in the Sunday Times, talks are at an advanced stage and an announcement could be made within weeks. The reports said the purchase would not trigger a complete buy out but it claimed that fellow Eircom shareholders Telia and KPN are eager to sell their joint 35 per cent stake. Both companies refused to comment.
France Telecom in 'advanced stages' of Eircom purchase talks
France Telecom is in negotiations with Eircom over the purchase of a 29 per cent stake in the Irish telco.
