Bertelsmann does deal with Napster

Bertelsmann is setting up a membership-based service with controversial music sharing company Napster.

NEWS Under the terms of the agreement Bertelsmann will pull out of legal action against Napster if the new system is set up. It will also lend the company money in exchange for "a warrant to acquire a portion of Napster's equity". Bertelsmann will provide music content from its own artists but is also inviting other companies to join the system.
