NEWS The winners included three Norwegian companies: the state-owned Telenor; Netcom, recently bought by Sweden's Telia and Broadband Mobile, a joint venture between Norway's Enitel and Sonera of Finland. The fourth winner was Sweden's Tele2. The Norwegian government opted for the beauty contest process for allocation, judging bidders on merit - based on factors such as speed of rollout and area of coverage. The winners will pay Nkr200m (£15.2m) for their respective licences.
