NEWS The legal challenge is the first faced by the incumbent since the unbundling of the local loop ten days ago. Mangoosta currently leases its ADSL lines from the French telco. Over recent months, Mangoosta users have been disrupted by continual disconnection of service. A Mangoosta spokeswoman said: "We still use France Telecom but our users have been plagued by continual problems and we think that is France Telecom's doing. They do not want to correct the problems as they are still upset that they are losing the monopoly." The French commercial court has given the French telco 48 hours to comply with the order. If France Telecom fails to act, a fine of FF50,000 (£4,800) will be imposed for each day service continues to be disrupted. France Telecom refused to comment.
