NEWS Other UK tech stocks also performed strongly in early trading, with Autonomy shares rising 7.57 per cent to £20.03. Financial software company Sage, chip maker ARM and telecoms company Cable & Wireless were also among the early winners. The rises follow another positive day's trading on Nasdaq Thursday, which saw the exchange end the day 116.39 points, or 4.4 per cent, up at 2,640.57. However, there is speculation the Nasdaq's three day rally will not continue today, as both PC maker Gateway and tech giant HP issued profits warnings after the market closed.
