NEWS A spokesman for the Financial Times said: "We suffered a power cut early this morning. When the servers were restored it was found that they couldn't read some URLs - those starting with www. Most attempts to go to news.ft.com are successful." The ad servers have been particularly affected but the paper expects to have its service back by the end of the day. At the Evening Standard, a spokesman said the site had gone down just before noon and the technical team was working on it. Service was restored while she talked to silicon.com.
