Flotation turns bitter for Orange

Orange shares continued to fall after a depressing debut on the London and Paris stock markets, losing ten per cent of their value.

NEWS The shares launched yesterday at E10 (£6.3) for institutional investors and E9.50 (£6) for retail investors, after Orange's owners France Telecom slashed the issue price. The shares closed at E9.4 (£5.95) in Paris yesterday, and fell further in early trading, reaching E9 (£5.7) by 0800 (GMT). In London they were down to 589.5p, from a launch price of 628p.
