Amazon beats eBay in traffic race

Amazon has edged ahead of eBay in the race to be the most visited ecommerce site.

NEWS Amazon squeezed ahead to the number ten position in a poll of the top fifty visited sites in the US. According to reports on eccomercetimes.com, eBay's traffic has slumped over the last month by almost two million unique visitors. Research published yesterday by Jupiter Media Matrix shows that during last month, Amazon attracted just over 18 million visitors, while eBay had just under 17 million. The research also illustrates that visitors are continuing to flood the Napster site. In January the site had 14.4 million visitors but saw a leap of over two million to 16.9 million last month. It currently sits at number thirteen.
