Broadband becomes 16 times broader

Businesses could see a 16-fold increase in the number of users per fibre in their network after the launch of access technology from LuxN.

By Mark Graham, 20 March 2001 12:18

NEWS The new technology from LuxN effectively makes available more bandwidth for carriers to offer enterprises by multiplying the capacity of the fibre, splitting it into different channels without degradation to bandwidth. Paul Senior, director of European sales at LuxN, said this technology is already successfully used in the US and the company now wishes to bring it to the UK and European market. He said: "This presents an efficient solution to bridge this divide between supply and demand giving both the enterprise and the service provider a win-win solution."
