Internet loyalty and payment firm beenz.com is set to bring its total job cuts to 180 staff worldwide and is looking for a partner.

NEWS The company, which rewards net users with 'beenz' redeemable against goods at participating websites, has failed to hit revenue targets and is actively seeking a partner to keep its UK operations afloat. In a statement the company said it is in discussions with several potential strategic partners in order to ensure the company's long-term future. In December, the London-based business cut 28 customer support, sales and technical jobs in San Francisco and New York, also disposing of 18 UK staff through voluntary redundancies. In the latest round of cuts 20 more jobs are to be lost in the UK office. Despite receiving a $51m financing round last July from a number of high-profile investors, including Oracle chief Larry Ellison, the firm now faces a bleak future, struggling on with just 60 employees spread across its 13 offices worldwide.
