NEWS Christophe Lebedan will head up silicon.fr as country general manager while Pierre Mangin will lead the 12-strong editorial team as editorial director. Rob Lewis, CEO of silicon.com, claimed the company's aim is to be the number one news service for IT and ebusiness professionals. According to research carried out by Simpson Carter, 61 per cent of French IT professionals use the internet daily but only five per cent read a magazine every day. Figures also showed that 63 per cent saw online TV as a good medium to deliver business information. silicon.fr aims to have 40,000 registered users by the end of the month.
