Stockwatch Daily: Euro tech markets climb on Nasdaq gains

Nasdaq gains of 2.46 per cent by close yesterday helped to push up European tech stocks during early trading this morning.

NEWS The FTSE TechMark was up 1.43 per cent, while Frankfurt's Neuer Markt climbed more than four per cent. Troubled dot-com Priceline has said its losses have narrowed. So too has UK chip design company ARC - its was up more than three per cent by 9.30 (BST). Vodafone was down more than 2.5 per cent this morning after it agreed to shell out £4.8bn for BT's stakes in Japan Telecom, J-Phone and Airtel.
