NEWS In times of dot-com doom it's nice to report an 'old school' success story. Friendsreunited.co.uk was launched in October and without any advertising is now enjoying 1.2 million page impressions a day. This figure is increasing by 20 per cent a week. The site allows you to contact people from your school or college that you've lost touch with. It has 400,000 members. To contact someone you need to pay a £5 subscription fee but you can put your details and comments in for free and wait for people to contact you. Jason Porter, managing director at friendsreunited, said: 'We're looking to build into other areas like the armed forces and clubs but we don't want to commercialise the service or sell the data.'
