NEWS European technology companies have been throwing their weight around this morning and causing some discomfort on the markets. The FTSE TechMark lurched into the red by almost two per cent, while the German Neuer Markt took a hit of 2.7 per cent. Those leading the tumble included Philips with news that losses had widened to E770m (£470m). Its share price took a four per cent knock during trading this morning. The Baltimore saga is continuing and now the Irish e-security company has said that it is not interested in the offer placed by Chantilley. The markets didn't take kindly to the decision and it was down this morning by 17.4 per cent.
