Marconi investigated for insider dealing

From bad to worse for the former telecoms giant...

NEWS Marconi is under investigation by the Financial Services Authority. The FSA is concerned that Marconi did not do all it could to keep investors informed of market conditions, according to the Financial Times. This follows controversy around the company's profit warning and share suspension earlier this month. Marconi shares were suspended for a whole day just prior to a profits warning. This warning came just two weeks after positive comments from chief executive Lord Simpson. Marconi refused to comment on the story because it already faces a class action suit from US investors.
