eBay gives AOL deal the thumbs up

Online giants happy marriage continues...

NEWS Internet auction site eBay has added another three years to its marketing deal with AOL Time Warner. The pair will continue with their co-branded website as part of a renewed agreement, which was originally set to end this year. A spokesman for eBay told US wires the company is also mulling the possibility of advertising on AOL Time Warner's television and print properties. eBay said the deal has increased traffic to its site. The company's Q2 results were also helped by the deal. AOL sells ads for eBay, which totalled about five per cent of revenues.
