NEWS AOL Time Warner looks set to swing its axe within two weeks, eliminating up to 1,000 roles from the company.
Rumours of the redundancies have been gathering pace since the firm's CFO, Mike Kelly, warned investors of an imminent cost-cutting exercise, as reported by silicon.com earlier this week.
According to the Financial Times, that could extend to 1,000 jobs, primarily coming from the web business - totalling more than six per cent of AOL's workforce. AOL Time Warner group as a whole, currently employs approximately 90,000 staff.
