No hope for Save.com

Another online currency firm breathes its last...

NEWS Online coupon provider Save.com will close down operations because of insufficient funding and a lack of advertisers, according to backer Valassis Communications. Valassis, which is Save.com's largest shareholder, said it pulled the plug on Save.com because the site failed to attract a significant number of advertisers interested in the coupon channel. Today, however, the site is still up and running. Save.com provides online coupons on its site and those of its affiliate partners, which can be printed out and redeemed in stores.
