NEWS Scottish telecoms firm Thus is on the brink of a £160m investment deal which could take the company into the black. The company is reportedly in advanced talks with its parent company Scottish Power and a number of external investors. The firm, which owns Demon Internet, hopes to be able to make an announcement by November - five months earlier than intended. According to the reports in The Independent, Thus, formerly Scottish Telecom, is also optimistic of selling its interactive division by the end of the year, raising an extra £10m. The £160m would fund the company through to predicted positive cash flow in 2004.
