NEWS Video-on-demand provider Video Networks is in talks with Bulldog Communications in an effort to distance itself from BT. VideoNet's business relies heavily on the price of digital subscriber line (DSL) and the company now needs to find an alternative DSL provider due to high BT charges. Bulldog is said to be BT's last domestic DSL competitor and seen as a suitable access provider for VideoNet. Bulldog has already began lobbying the British and European parliaments to force BT to change its DSL access. Earlier this month Oftel ordered BT to sign service level agreements with the companies who site their DSL equipment in BT's exchanges.
