Microsoft Xbox already a hit with consumers

More than a month before it's even hit the shelves...

NEWS Toys 'R' Us announced that it only took 30 minutes for its online store to sell out of Microsoft's Xbox video game packages. Only selling console's with $200 worth of add-ons, both toysrus.com and its online partner Amazon.com cleared their pre-order limit in just 30 minutes on Tuesday. Toys 'R' Us' next pre-sale offer is on 11 September, with the new games console's mass release scheduled in US retail outlets for 8 November with a $299 price tag. The Xbox is due to be released in Europe in the first quarter next year.
