WebMD blames profit warning on US attack

NEWS WebMD, the internet health company that took over Jim Clark's Healtheon, has said that terrorist-related travel delays and shipping problems might knock its next results. The World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks may "have some impact" on third quarter revenue, which will be in the range of $170m to $175m, the company told the Reuters news service. WebMD is also to terminate its contract with Microsoft, though the MSN website will continue to carry health information from WebMD. WebMD merged with Healtheon, the company set up by Netscape and Silicon Graphics founder Jim Clark. In its heyday, Healtheon was his third successive billion-dollar start-up.
