NEWS Dot-info registry Afilias has delayed the deadline for its registration schedule for the public rollout of .info domain names due to the tragic events of 11 September in New York. The company will now accept requests for domain names to be processed as part of the initial queue of names until 21 September. The date for registration was set for 18 September. Hal Lubsen, CEO at Afilias said in a statement: "With deference to all affected by the tragic circumstances surrounding the events of 11 September, Afilias felt it necessary to make some schedule changes to ensure fairness to all registrants, and the registrars who serve them."
