NEWS US telco Pacific Bell has been hit with a $25.6m fine for misleading its customers. Pacific Bell was fined $25.6m by the California Public Utilities Commission in a hearing on Thursday for steering customers towards its most expensive options, failing to explain call features and promoting products via its customer services number. The fine is one of the largest handed down to a telco in the state. Pacific Bell has said it will appeal the decision.
