Internet totals 91 per cent of easyJet sales

Easy does it for web wise flyers...

NEWS Internet sales have made a huge impact on easyJet's total sales, according to figures out today. An impressive 91 per cent of sales were made via its website in September, up from 77.8 per cent last year. The budget flight operator has also managed to avoid the huge loss in passenger numbers experienced by arch-rival British Airways. Despite the general downturn in the airline industry in light of the US terrorist attacks, easyJet's passenger figures only fell by three per cent in September. Passenger figures for September were 680,383, up from 534,913 last September.
