NTL introduces slower internet access

Like broadband, only a little bit narrower...

By Ben King, 8 October 2001 14:50

NEWS Cable operator NTL has introduced a 128Kbps internet access product priced to compete with always on dial-up services. The service will cost £14.99, the same price as BT's unlimited dial-up access, but with always-on access, double the download speed and the ability to surf without tying up the phone line. The move is the first to address the gap between dial-up services and entry-level broadband, which are significantly more expensive.
