BT rats on Powergen over misleading ads

Pot too busy calling kettle black to spot the irony...

NEWS Utility firm Powergen has been forced to withdraw its current advertising campaign after the claims it made were exposed as false. The company offered customers switching over to its service a 'Onebill' system, which, as you would imagine, promised its customers would only receive one bill for their electricity, gas and telephone rather than three bills - thus saving on clutter and confusion. However, not one to see the consumer mislead, BT raised the alarm, according to the Guardian, by complaining to the Independent Television Commission and pointing out Powergen customers still receive a bill from BT charging them for line rental.
