NEWS The Bank of Ireland is scrapping its separate internet banking operation after attracting fewer than half its projected number of customers. The internet bank, called F Sharp, will now be merged back into the main operations of the company. The organisation will continue to offer its existing range of online services, and has no plans to ditch the net altogether. Bank of Ireland has spent "several millions" on the online bank since its launch two years ago, and has just 2,000 customers.
