Broadband ISP goes Linux

The penguin gets the nod...

NEWS ISP Freedom2Surf has rebuilt its broadband network using Linux, in a bid to bring its customers faster streaming media. Out go the old Cisco routers, and in comes a new purpose built Linux architecture which they claim improves data flow by over 10 per cent - Boosting the performance of video and audio streaming and speeding up real time games.
