NEWS JDS Uniphase has issues a warning that its revenues will slide to the tune of up to 15 per cent in the current financial quarter as optical networking equipment manufacture continues to take a beating. The news confirms a deepening crisis in the communications component sector, coming straight after the company announced a 45 per cent drop in quarter-on-quarter sales. According to a report in the Financial Times, co-chairman Jozef Straus told investors that they won't see such dramatically declining back-to-back sales again, although he added that the bottom of the trough may yet be two quarters away.
