NEWS A man who tried to sell one of his kidneys on the web has been sentenced to 100 hours of community service by a German court. The unnamed German man had tried to sell his kidney for the equivalent of £31,700, but his ruse was discovered before any bids were made, according to newswire Ananova. He claimed he had been trying to raise money for his family, but the court found he had intended to use the money to maintain his drug habit. The man had broken German transplantation laws.
