Lastminute.com shares boosted by promise of profit

It takes a lot to turn lastminute investors off...

NEWS Shares in Lastminute.com rose over 14 per cent on opening this morning, despite fourth quarter losses increasing 50 per cent on last year. By 10:00GMT shares were trading up 15.08 per cent at 37.85p, boosted by claims from the company that it will reach profitability in France and the UK within the next six months. Pre tax loss for the year jumped 50 per cent to £53.75m, loss for Q4 was $5.7m, down from £7.8m in Q3.
