NEWS Computers and software have been seized and over 100 people arrested in what is thought to be the largest worldwide child porn investigation to date. Over a dozen homes were raided in England and Scotland this morning, and eight people arrested. Law enforcement agencies on four continents were involved and more than 100 arrests were made in all in 19 countries, including Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea and the US.
The National Crime Squad monitored more than 30 child porn newsgroups focusing on explicit images of children. It discovered that 60,000 images of youngsters had been downloaded and swapped between users. ISP Demon helped the police with their enquiries.
