NEWS Deutsche Telekom has bucked the telecoms trend by outperforming analyst expectations in its Q3 results, with sales at its information services and wireless divisions up significantly. Revenues rose to E4.1bn from E3.4bn in the three months to 30 September, pushing the company E200m above earlier predictions. Overall though, the firm still made a loss of some E1.5bn. The information services division T-Systems quadrupled profits to E425m, while T-Mobile was up 55 per cent to become the second biggest revenue-taker in the business.
