NEWS The e-minister will aim to resolve the UK's broadband troubles on Monday as government and industry representatives set out their plans to encourage a faster roll out of services. Douglas Alexander will publish his response to initial suggestions made in September by the Broadband Stakeholder Group (BSG). The BSG itself, which is made up of government, user and industry representatives, will issue its full list of recommendations. The DTI is also holding meetings with leading industry figures to finalise the incentives it will offer to broadband content providers. One of the most popular proposals is a tax break for content companies. In an unrelated move in the House of Lords, Lord St John of Bletso, chairman of ISP Globix, will raise his own questions about the promotion of broadband access to UK homes.
