Cisco to Sprint: 'You show them ours and we'll show them yours'

Networking giants pairing off stateside...

NEWS Networking giant Cisco and US long-distance phone carrier Sprint have signed a three-year deal to promote each other's offerings. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed but Sprint has confirmed it will make a "sizeable" investment in buying in Cisco equipment to deploy across its network. In return Cisco will sell Sprint products. The deal extends an existing agreement between the two companies. Previously their union was tarred by the failure of the Ion high-speed network project, which promised to enable users to phone, fax and surf the web over a single phone line but was axed in October 2001.
