NEWS Deutsche Telekom is boosting the subscription cost of its monthly broadband internet access after the German telco regulator accused it of stifling competition. The telco said it will raise the price to £8 as of February and will also raise its connection charges for the service. Last month, German telecoms regulatory body RegTP said Deutsche's broadband pricing model was too cheap. The regulator said Deutsche was abusing its position as the country's primary telco by offering broadband for below cost price at £6.28 per month. RegTP will begin an investigation into Deutsche's charges for its DSL network for rivals soon.
