Cloud Nine gives up the ghost

Assets sold to Zetnet...

NEWS Beleaguered ISP Cloud Nine has sold its assets to B2B ISP Zetnet after a week of denial-of-service attacks brought Cloud Nine to its knees. On Tuesday the company closed its service, announcing that the denial of service attack meant that it was impossible to rebuild its servers. The company has issued a statement saying: "This activity was of such magnitude and viciousness that we decided that we could not continue to operate our internet services with the resources we had available." "Cloud Nine would like to apologise to all our customers for the disruption to our services caused by the recent denial of service activity." The company stringently denied any allegations that the problems were financial. The Cloud Nine statement continued: "All we really wanted to do was to continue providing a service as we have done for the last six years, but ultimately this option was criminally denied us."
