Nokia shares soar on back of results

Sales and profits down, shares up... go figure

NEWS Nokia shares rose this morning, after the mobile manufacturer reported a drop in fourth quarter sales and profits. Net profit was E1.15bn (£700m), down from E1.21bn (£750m) last year. Sales fell five per cent to E8.8bn (£5.43bn) from E9.3bn (£5.73bn) last year. Shares were up 3.72 per cent by 10:06(GMT), just minutes after results were released.
