eBay selling Anthrax scare letters

Post caught up in biological weapon scare goes under the hammer...

NEWS Auction site eBay is giving macabre collectors the chance to buy some of the mail items which caused last year's anthrax scares in the US. A seller going by the name Dr Z is selling the irradiated post for as little as £4 per item. A different seller confessed to flogging a flyer from credit card company American Express, which had allegedly been the subject of a scare, for £13. In total 800,000 posted items were put in quarantine at the New Jersey post office in Hamilton. Officials told nervous employees to throw the sealed items away after the quarantine was lifted if they felt uneasy about handling them. However, some employees clearly kept items and are now selling them to the highest bidder.
