Google hates pop-ups

NEWS Google, one of the web's most popular search engines, has responded to complaints about pop-ups on its site by issuing an official notice condemning the much-hated advertising practice. The site is blaming the pop-ups, which have proved to be very unpopular with its visitors, on the dubious tactics of other sites and free software programs. Pop-ups can increase traffic numbers to websites enormously. Last year, an unknown company making surveillance camera was pushed into the upper echelons of the most visited sites using this method.
