NEWS Microsoft's web division, MSN says its moves to roll out broadband across the US will be delayed following the demise of its business partner Enron. The energy giant was supposed to provide the venture with its high speed access backbone, but the firm's collapse due to poor accounting practices and failed investments, means that will no longer be possible. MSN intended to provide 90 per cent of DSL-enabled US homes with broadband by the end of the first quarter of this year, but now that will be delayed. The company is now looking at other backbone providers and intends to complete the rollout by the middle of this financial year.
