Courts faced with $92m discrepancy...

By Heather McLean, 4 February 2002 14:48

NEWS Lucent has claimed it is owed at least $123m by Global Crossing - despite the bankrupt telco putting the figure at $31m in its bankruptcy filing. Lucent filed a legal challenge two days after Global Crossing announced it was seeking Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last week. In the filing Lucent claimed accounts receivable amounted to $83m with a further $40m-worth of goods and services not yet billed for. Lucent requested the court make Global Crossing either admit or deny the additional claim.
