NTL's 'double CEO' forced to quit US job

You can't be chief exec of two companies...

NEWS NTL chief executive Barclay Knapp has quit his job as CEO of US operator CoreComm to become chairman following widespread criticism that he couldn't devote enough time to both firms. Knapp is now expected to focus almost entirely on NTL which is currently wrestling with a massive restructuring in an effort to cut debt and stave off bankruptcy rumours, according to the Financial Times. Last week the firm denied rumours that it wouldn't be able to meet repayments on its $17bn debts.
