Ask Jeeves about its $400m loss

NEWS Shares in Ask Jeeves have crashed after the company reported heavy losses yesterday. The company announced a deficit of $400m for the full year, and as a result saw its shares drop 46 per cent to $1.55 at closing on Nasdaq. Ask Jeeves reported a pro forma net loss for the quarter of $3.5m, or nine cents per share. However, this is actually an improvement on losses of $18.7m for the same period in 2000.
