Investors put another £10m in Bulldog's bowl

Canine able to keep on battling for broadband Britain...

NEWS Bulldog Communications, one of the few remaining local loop unbundling operators, has announced a further £10m of funding. The money comes from its existing backers, including two investment companies, Omnia Limited and Fresh Capital Group, and the Lattice Group (formerly part of British Gas). The new funding will help keep Bulldog afloat until its first customer is connected in the second quarter of the year, but the company is looking to raise a further £30m over the rest of the year. Last week Bulldog spoke out about BT's plans to cut broadband prices, as lower prices pose a serious threat to the viability of Bulldog's own plans to supply broadband using its own DSL equipment located in BT exchanges.
