"I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love..."

NEWS Kay Hammond, the internet businesswoman who auctioned herself as a wife on QXL, has been jilted before she even met her successful suitor. The auction for the hand of Ms Hammond ended on QXL last month after attracting over 38,000 hits, but only two bids above the reserve price of £250,000. Ben Webb successfully outbid andrew1901 to take Kay's hand in marriage but since then Hammond's attempts to track either suitor have proved fruitless. In a statement Hammond said: "I was very disappointed when I found out that the bids were not genuine - I would have been happy to marry anyone who came up with the cash. "I am still looking for that special someone. But I am very busy at work at the moment. Now I am not sure I would have had time for a husband anyway." No sour grapes there then.
